In 2016, we made the decision to retire at the end of 2017 and build our forever home in Pennsylvania. After living in Hawaii for 37 years, we needed some direction when it came to finding a local builder that we could put our trust in. Over the next several months we looked at a lot of builders in the York and Lancaster area, but one recommendation stood out. Our friends and family all said, “There is only one builder I would recommend to you and that’s Jeffrey L. Henry, Inc.”
In June of 2017, after several conversations and countless emails, we met with Jeff for the first time. It took maybe 20 minutes of speaking with Jeff in person for us to realize that we had found what we were looking for, someone we could trust to design and build our home while we were 6,000 away preparing to relocate our family from Hawaii.
The contemporary style & flow that we were used to in Hawaii isn’t as common in Pennsylvania, but after listening to how we live and our design ideas, Jeff quickly caught on to our vision and ultimately made many suggestions that really hit the mark.
We had an excellent understanding between us, and communication was great throughout the design & build process. Jeff’s entire team and his subcontractors were amazing. They brought our dream to fruition. It’s difficult to imagine having that much trust & faith in anyone to build your home just how you want it without you being there, but Jeff and his team did just that. We were looking for a builder but had the good fortune of finding a craftsman with a passion for making dreams reality!
On January 2, 2018, Jeff broke ground and on June 15, 2018, we moved into the house of our dreams! We only have great things to say about working with Jeff Henry and his team! I could talk to you all day about the quality of work and the excellent results they delivered. If asked who we would choose to build a home we are proud to say, “There is only one builder we would recommend and that is Jeffrey L. Henry Inc.” You can quote us on that!
