Jeffrey L. Henry, owner of Jeffrey L. Henry, Inc., and Henry Realty, was recently honored with the 2024 Mack Smith Award by the York Builders Association (YBA). This accolade is part of the annual PEAK Achievement Awards, which celebrate excellence in the building industry across various categories, including building and remodeling, community service, outdoor projects, and designs.
The Mack Smith Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate a steadfast commitment to the goals and objectives of the York Builders Association and make significant contributions to the association, the building profession, and the community. Jeffrey Henry received the distinguished award at the 2024 PEAK Achievement Awards Banquet at The Terrace at Heritage Hills Resort earlier this month.
A long-time member of the YBA, Jeff has been dedicated to serving the building industry for many years. Joining the association in 1989, he has actively participated on the YBA Board of Directors, serving as President in 2012 and on numerous committees. He has also contributed to various YBA-led volunteer and community service projects. Most recently, Jeff Henry led YBA’s efforts to build the Snoezelen Room at the Children’s Home of York. He also served as Director of the Pennsylvania Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.
Jeffrey L. Henry, Inc. was founded by Jeff Henry in 1987. Born into a family of builders—his father was a builder, and all his brothers are contractors—Jeff has continued the family legacy in the York and Hanover, PA, areas. Over the years, his company has built a reputation as an outstanding custom home builder and remodeler in York County, earning over 40 awards locally, including multiple PEAK Achievement Awards.
“Jeff Henry’s dedication to quality, the residential building industry, and community service embody the values that the Mack Smith Award stands for,” said YBA Executive Vice President Laurie Lourie. “His contributions to the York Builders Association and the broader community are commendable. Jeff is a foundational part of our association and an all-around great guy.”
In addition to his professional achievements, Jeffrey L. Henry, Inc. is deeply invested in the York County community, supporting numerous associations, charitable organizations, schools, and sports teams. The company is known for its superior quality standards, customer commitment, and participation in the Pennsylvania Energy Efficient New Homes Program.
The Mack Smith Award is named after charter member Mack Smith, who exemplified leadership, community service, respect, dedication to the industry, mentorship, professionalism, and compassion. Each year, individuals are nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of building industry professionals.
